Mindset:
  • Be objective.
  • Imagine that you're a consultant, hired to review your week.
  • Be efficient.
  • Try limiting yourself to 2 - 3 sentences each.
  • Be kind.
  • Don't be too harsh on yourself.
Agenda:
  • Wie ist unser Zeitlimit diese Woche?
    • 20:30
  • Mini-Retro:
      1. Was lief beim letzten Meeting gut?
        1. Was lief beim letzten Meeting nicht gut?
        1. Was machen wir dieses Mal anders?
    • Wie war deine Woche?
        1. Was hat dich beschäftigt?
        1. Was hat dir Spaß gemacht?
        1. Was hat dich frustriert?
        1. Worauf bist du stolz?
    • Was lief letzte Woche?
        1. How do I feel I did this week overall?
            • I am proud that I pulled through and didn’t give up on learning
            • But I didn’t work this much, because I was distracting myself and procrastinating.
            • I lacked motivation, in short.
        1. What did I get done this week versus what I planned to get done? (look into your calendar and your completed tasks)
            • I didn’t get to lecture 7 in the deep learning course.
        1. What did you learn last week?
            • Listen to your body and mind!
              • If you feel stressed, then don’t assume it’s regression to the mean
              • Assume that it’s true and stop everything you are doing in that moment and ask yourself “What’s wrong?”.
        1. What was your biggest mistake planning last week?
            • I already knew that the course was shit. And I already knew that I would spend a lot of time on it and that my plan was too ambitious.
              • That’s not something I can use currently because I get easily triggered by this. Instead I should take care of myself better.
        1. How did your habits go this week?
            • Poorly: no anki, no programming, but I tried 4 hours of deep learning every day.
    • Was steht nächste Woche an?
        1. What am I going to do differently this week?
            • Listen to your body and mind.
              • Do more meditations, take longer breaks that are actually refreshing and stop torturing yourself.
        1. Was sind deine größten Ziele für die nächste Woche?
            • Completing the “Introduction to Deep Learning” MIT course
            • Complete first draft of
        1. What am I gonna do differently about my habits this week?
            • At the very least, learn the deep learning Anki cards.
            • It’s okay if you don’t program because you don’t have a proper laptop for Python 3.9 right now.
        1. Meta: what important but not urgent thing could you do? How can you be proactive this week? Write down a spontaneous idea.
            • Ask Nele whether she could send the EA message to her psychology group.
        1. If you did plan a bug last week, how did it go?
          1. I wanted to ask a question on StackExchange after 30 Minutes of not understanding.
          2. I feel like I often don’t know what I don’t understand. I rather need somebody to answer my questions similar to “I don’t get this, could you explain it to me?”.
          3. If you are not done with your bug, then make a plan for how you can solve it this week.
            1. If you are done with your bug, choose a new one and make a plan for 15 minutes. Murphyjitsu it as often as possible.
              1. Make a plan.
                1. Dealing with questions and misunderstandings in a time-efficient way.
                  1. Have a list of “I don’t get this” things.
              2. Imagine that you’ve passed the deadline and find out that the plan failed.
              3. If you’re shocked in this scenario, you’re done.
              4. Otherwise, simulate the most likely failure mode, defend against it, and repeat.
          1. What can I do to enjoy myself this week?
              • More loving kindness meditations
              • At least one othership session
              • Reading instead of bouldering
              • Take it easy with bouldering this week
              • Adapting a healthy sleeping schedule again (at least going to bed the same time every day.)
          1. What can I do to grow my social relationships this week?
              • Answer my mum and call her.
              • Talk with Nele for a longer amount of time.
      • Clean up and get all your tasks out of your head and write them down. What's up next? Assign dates to them.
          1. Reschedule old tasks.
            1. Process all files, notes, emails, and texts from last week that are sitting in your inbox.
            1. Who could help you with one of your problems this week? Reach out to them!
