Mindset:
  • Be objective.
  • Imagine that you're a consultant, hired to review your week.
  • Be efficient.
  • Try limiting yourself to 2 - 3 sentences each.
  • Be kind.
  • Don't be too harsh on yourself.
Agenda:
  • Wie ist unser Zeitlimit diese Woche?
    • 19:30
  • Mini-Retro:
      1. Was lief beim letzten Meeting gut?
        1. Was lief beim letzten Meeting nicht gut?
        1. Was machen wir dieses Mal anders?
I’ve encountered this week” miteinander teilen könnten
    • Wie war deine Woche?
        1. Was hat dich beschäftigt?
          1. Self-Love x EA
        1. Was hat dir Spaß gemacht?
        1. Was hat dich frustriert?
        1. Worauf bist du stolz?
    • Was lief letzte Woche?
        1. How do I feel I did this week overall?
            • Pretty good - worked 4 hours pretty consistently and had pretty great exams
              • Logic - not that good - I should have started earlier! Was a bit of a flashback to early math exams, where I didn’t practise enough.
              • Philosophy of Mind - 10/10
            • Even 8 hours on Wednesday, without a big lack of energy the following day
            • I feel like I hit my limits of 4 hours work each day - I need to expand and optimize more for more energy.
        1. What did I get done this week versus what I planned to get done? (look into your calendar and your completed tasks)
            • I had an overwhelming amount of work to do, two weeks ago, but still managed to complete all my tasks.
        1. Why was I so efficient this week as compared to the last one? What enabled me to reach my goals this week?
            • “Just work 4 hours a day - that’s enough” - nothing is more important than working for this exam right now - easy prioritization:
              • Clear goal: 4 hours a day
              • Pressing issue: easy prioritization
            • Told people that I don’t have time right now, etc.
        1. What did you learn last week?
            • Cold showers, tea and a walk in the morning are really great for concentration and energy
            • It does not matter whether it actually is helping you to get more energy - as long as you end up feeling like you have more energy, then you probably have more energy as well
              • Believe in your bodily sensors!
            • Personal impact exists solely at the intersection of work that you love and optimal work conditions.
              • Learn about yourself and what is possible in the world!
        1. What was your biggest mistake planning last week?
            • Should have started earlier to learn for logic.
        1. How did your habits go this week?
            • Anki: 5/7
            • Programming: 5/7
            • Deep-Work: 6/7
    • Was steht nächste Woche an?
        1. What am I going to do differently this week?
            • After 4 hours - if I want to do more, then do more!
              • But carefully evaluate other option that might be less energy-taxing
        1. What is next week's focus?
            • Mechanismen der Hirnentwicklung
            • Definition of Done:
        1. What do I need to get done?
            • Den Sommer fertigplanen
        1. What am I gonna do differently about my habits this week?
            • If you want to program after finishing your 4 hours, then do it 🙂

            • -
        1. Review your “Someday/Maybe projects” list.

              • -
            • Are there any ideas for new projects or plans based on what I found exciting this week?
              • AI Safety Magdeburg Gruppe?

          1. Mit Nele über EA Gruppe in Magdeburg reden.
          2. Nach Leuten für EA Gruppe in Magdeburg suchen in Studiengang
        1. If you did plan a bug last week, how did it go?
          2. Sollte aber übernächste Woche mal.
          3. If you are not done with your bug, then make a plan for how you can solve it this week.
            1. Asking for help, when I don’t get something.
          4. If you are done with your bug, choose a new one and make a plan for 15 minutes. Murphyjitsu it as often as possible.
            1. Make a plan.
              1. Asking for help, when I don’t get something.
                1. Whenever I feel like “I don’t get this.”, take 5 Minutes and brain-storm who could help you solve this. When I am in a meeting or a situation where I don’t get something, either ask directly or write it down for later if you want to google it.
            2. Imagine that you’ve passed the deadline and find out that the plan failed.
            3. If you’re shocked in this scenario, you’re done.
            4. Otherwise, simulate the most likely failure mode, defend against it, and repeat.
              1. I could be in a meeting.
        1. What can I do to enjoy myself this week?
